We spend a lot of our day running one-off SQL queries — checking a value, confirming a migration landed, pulling a quick export for someone. None of that requires a full database IDE. It requires a focused query editor that gets out of the way.
That's what we're building with Ez Sql Plus, and it's close enough now that it's worth talking about before it ships.
What it does
Connect to whichever database you're working in that day, write a query with proper syntax highlighting, run it, and work with the results — sort, filter, export to CSV. Save connection profiles so you're not retyping a server name every time, and color-code them so you can tell your staging environment from production at a glance. Keep more than one query open in tabs. That's the whole tool, and that's on purpose.
What it doesn't do
No project system, no ORM designer. Those are genuinely useful in the right context, but they add complexity we don't need for a quick, one-off query.
What's left before launch
The core editor, autocomplete, and connection management are done and have been our own daily driver for a few weeks now. What's left is mostly the diagram designer and schema comparison tool — both usable, both still getting rough edges sanded off before we're comfortable putting them in front of anyone else.
No download yet, and we'd rather ship it once and have it be solid than rush a 1.0 and spend the first month firefighting instead of improving it. Keep an eye on this page — the day it's ready, it'll be posted here first.
